surf to turf

 Last term we did a thing called surf to turf,this year was the first year of it.Surf to turf is a thing were you train for a big 5 k run! and then you pull aq fire truck.In the trainings you have to do lots of excersizes like sit ups,push ups,running and lots more.Last wedensday is when we had the big run we started at the waimak and went all the way back to school.When we got back to school we had to do some work outs and then pull the fire truck.After that we got sasagues and a juicy.It was a fun time i defintly recommed giving it a go !

Three brothers and the polar beer.

 Three Brothers and the Polar bear.

Once a pon of time there were three brothers who lived in the freezing land of ice,there were lots of animals and creatures,lots of thick cold snow.One of the brothers studied putting bones together,another one of the brothers studied organs,flesh and skin,and the other brother studied putting things back to life.

One long boring day after theyre hard work of studying the brothers decided to go for a walk to relax and have some fun.On there walk they came across a pile of bones.The brothers used all theyre skills to put the bones together and bring the bones to life and it worked! They had a humongous,beautiful white polar bear in front of them.The polar bear looked down at the brothers with fear in its eyes,the polar bear was scared so the brothers decided they wanted to train him.

They took the polar bear back to theyre tiny iglu where the brothers and therye family lived,but the polar bear didnt fit in the iglu so they decided to make a home for him out side.The brothers gathered around lots of sticks,snow and ice and started building a snow shelter for the polar bear.This took the brothers hours and hours but they finally completed the amazing and ginormous snow shelter for the polar bear.

They ended up keeping the polar beer ads theyre pet and they lived happily ever after.

Reading

 For reading we have to complete a few activitys and once we have finished we are finished we do a fast finsher actitvy,this week for the fast finishers we have s lide to chose an acticty and i chose an actitcy where you choose a actitcy where you chose a job for the charcter

I think martins sister would be a good lawyer becasue she makes good points and sticks up for the right thing.

I think that martin would be a good auther because he wrote a whole diary and it was writen amazingly.

I think that Martins Dad would be a good rugby player casue hes really his sports or he could be part if a radio show.

 In our class today we had manaiakalni and we had to do a few activites.For this activity we had to put a thumbs up next to the good comments and a thumb down next to the bad comments.

sitting on the fence chapter 4

 In my reading group piwakaka we have neem reading a book called sitting on the fence.At the moment we are reading chapters 4 to 5. In our group we get rolls for our litracy circle this week im the illustrator,for illustrator we have to draw a picture about part of the book we are reading then we write a description and share it to our group every thursday.

Sitting on the fence is a book about racsim. The south african wants to play rugby in New Zealand but a lot of people from New Zealand dont want them to play becasue they are rascist so now there are lots of protests and arguements going around.Martin the boy whos writing this book/diary is caught in the middle of all this,his Dad loves rugby and really wants to see the game but his sister is against it.

Today in room 23 we had to draw a story map for our story,the three brotheres and the polar bear.This is a very cool story and its also very funny.

On the rocks.

Once a pon a time there was a little girl called zoe going on a walk around the rocky ocean,her parents had no idea about this.Zoe did this quite a lot she loved goinjg on adventures/.

This particular night the sea seemed to be quite rough.Zoe got scared the waves were crashing and tumbling adn she was just about to fall in when a ship came and saved her!

Under the bed.

Once a pon of time there was a boy called Billy,his Mum and Dad were going out for dinner and they left this poor boy home alone.

Billy was quite excited about this he had planned on staying up late and watching movies.As soon as Billys parents left he grabbed the lollies and turned on the TV.

Billt felt quite tired so he got into bed and went to sleep,when all of a sudden he was awoken to a big bang on the door .Billy was so scared,he grabbed all his stuffed animals and ran under the bed.

5 minutes had passed and Billy was still under the bed and he could still hear things at the door Billy was terrified but then he saw his Mum and dad.Silly Billy it was just his Mum and Dad trying to get back in!

My holidays

During the holidays I did a few fun things, last week me and my friend Tamara went to town with my Mum we did lots nof fun things.

We went to muffin break for lunch and then had a look around the shops. Me and Tamara went to the magret mahi park it was so fun!We went for a big walk around town and saw lots of cool buildings.Later we went home and me and Tamara watched Netflix.

BelFeast

Today we had BelFeast. For BelFeast we go to the BCN and eat some new yummy food. Today we were served a delicious burger and some hot chips! In our burgers we had lettuce,chesse and a patty. If I did BelFeast I would add some oinons. They were soo good thanks for the food Matau George!

Hatchet chapter 1-2

After the crash Brain sat on the plane with a lot on his mind, he was thinking about the terrible death of the pilot he was also thinking about how he was going to land this plane he's stuck in. He looked around the plane trying to find a solution.

Manaiakalani

Today in Manaiakalani I learnt lots of new gadgets and I commented on Ruby the dogs blog! I learnt to see how many people have viewed my blog and commented its so cool thanks for the help Ruby!

Pobble,the night thieves.

Once upon a time there were tiny creatures called nighheives they were almost as little as ants they would wait until very late every night once everyone is asleep and all the shops are closed to do there job,they would go to lots of different places and steal thing like money or expensive things.These night thieves would plan their mission during the day and they havent been caught yet,the security cameras cant pick them up because they're so little. One dark,cold night the night thieves were getting ready for their next mission they had to go all the way through the old sketchy town to get to the bank where they were going to steal all the money.They took off in there mini truck,but there was a car the night thieves thought that it didn't see them but they were wrong the car had been following them and rang the police,now the night thieves have been arrested and won't be able to steal anymore things.The person in the car was a hero!

Disneyland

For writing this week we have been doing a tour of Disney land Where we had to watch videos and Write aout it.We got to watch vidoes of some of the rides and the parade it was so cool! My favourite part of the parade was when Elsa and Anna came on because their my favourite.Some of the rides looked amazing it even went underground!

Back to school.

On Monday we came back to school for the first time 7 weeks,it was so different! We have to sanatize every time we leave the class and come back in.All of our desks are one meter apart and theres no assembleys or winter sports for the rest of the term.When we line up to come back in to class we have to stand a meter apart its very weird!

We do a lot of our learning online now and we arent allowed to share stationery.
It feels great to come back to school and see my friends.

Mothers day

On Mothers day me and my Dad brought my Mum some chocolate and a card we gave her it once she woke up and Mum was very happy! Later that day me and Mum went for a walk with some of our friends. When we got home we watched Netflix and had dinner,we had an amazing day.

Banana cake

Earlier today I made a banana cake it tasted delicious!

Here is the recipe

125g butter, softened
¾ cup sugar

2 eggs
1 cup mashed banana 

1 tsp vanilla essence
1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
2 Tbsp hot milk 

1¾ cup flour
1 tsp baking powder

Pre-heat the oven to 180°C. Grease a cake tin and line the base with baking paper.
Beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Beat in eggs one at a time. Stir in the bananas and vanilla essence until combined.
Mix the baking soda and milk together before stirring into the banana mixture. Sift in the flour and baking soda, stir it until it’s combined.
Stir the mixture into the tin and smooth the top. Bake for 40-45 minutes until cooked.

spaghetti

The other day me and Mum made some spaghetti for dinner,it was great! First we boiled some water and put it into a pot then we added some spaghetti noodles. We put in some tomato paste and a few other things so it wouldn't taste so bland.

Willow

Willow is my friend Tamara's new kitten shes very cute.  shes grey and white and very fluffy shes got green eyes and shes so playful.Willow loves to climb curtains,whenever she climbs up the curtains Tamaras Mum squirts her with a water bottle so now shes scared of water bottles. Sometimes when Tamara is doing her work on her chromebook Willow trys to help her!

scones

Last night me and Mum made some scones, they were so good! We made quite a few and it didn't take that long.Once they had finished cooking in the oven we waited a bit for them to cool down and had them with jam it was very yummy.

Anzac weekend

On the weekend I went for a walk with my Mum,and we went to the supermarket .Later on we went home and watched movies and I cleaned my room it took a long time cause it was very messy! the next day me and Mum went for another walk and we walked past my friend Tamaras house and met her new kitten Willow shes very cute!

My cat

At my house I have a cat named Zimba,shes grey and white and she loves eating and snuggles. Zimba always sleeps on my bed and its very annoying cause shes sleeps on my legs and I cant move.Zimba is veryyyyy cute!

chocolate cupcakes

On Tuesday I made some chocolate cupcakes they were delicious! I got all the ingredients and put them together. They take 15-20 minutes in the oven to cook , but then I had to wait for them to cool down so  I could ice them. They turned out great !

Monday

Yesterday morning I got up and joined the google meet. After the call I did some of my work,math's buddy and steps then me and my mum went for a walk. Later Mum made some pasta for diner it was very yummy! Then I talked to some of my friends and watched Netflix. After that I got ready for bed and went to sleep.

Today I made some chocolate chip biscuits they are delicious! But I accidentally forgot to melt the butter so when I was mixing the mixture the butter went everywhere:(  The first lot turned out great but I burnt the second lot.

my holidays

In the holidays I painted my wall white because it was purple and I didnt like it .My Mum did most of it but I helped her. I also made a chocolate cake,it was delicious! And I watched flushed away with my best friend.
